ALS Certificates

The Aviation Language Schools Certificate of Achievement is awarded upon satisfactory completion of each phase of study.

CEFE Certificate

A CEFE (Comprehensive English Fluency Exam, an ALS exam that is comparable to the TOEFL) Certificate is given upon satisfactory completion of the exam.

Note: The CEFE can be taken at any time and results can be discussed with and/or sent to any school, institution, or airline within 24 hours. However, although PLS is authorized to administer the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and the MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery), these exams require advance notice. The TOEFL is returned to ETS (Educational Testing Service) and the MELAB to ELI (English Language Institute) for scoring. Results are sent directly by ETS or ELI to the institutions requested, and take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

GED Equivalency Examination

For those students who do not possess a high school diploma, a GED Equivalency Examination is available. Upon successful completion of the exam a GED Equivalency Examination Certificate is awarded.
